PANTONE has just announced it. "Veri Peri" it is. For the year 2022 anyway. PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri to be precise.

The name derives from: Vinca major, with the common names bigleaf periwinkle, large periwinkle, greater periwinkle and blue periwinkle, is a species of flowering plant in the family Apocynaceae, native to the western Mediterranean.

However, for us Australians: Blue Periwinkle Snails are?very small blue- grey shells?that feed on microscopic algae invisible to the naked eye. They live at the upper drier levels of the platform and are able to survive a long time out of water. At low tide they are often found huddled together in cracks and crevices.
