Perfect Procrastination…

Perfect Procrastination…

1.??This Week's Hot Tip:

We are wrapping up February and our theme of, “Falling More in Love with Your Side Hustle.” ?One of the most insidious threats to scaling side hustle is… Perfect Procrastination.?

What do I mean by perfect procrastination? Keeping busy to avoid the actions that are necessary and uncomfortable.?We can lie to ourselves that it is valuable work. In my opinion, here are a few examples of perfect procrastination that can derail your business.

If you see yourself in these types of procrastination, email me.

  1. Perfect Timing – Waiting for THE perfect moment in time to get started or take the next action.?Trying to align launch dates to meaningful events or pushing out following up with leads based on your demands at your full-time job. The reality is there isn’t a golden hour for your business. Start or restart at any time.
  2. Perfect Research – One of my clients called this procrasti-cation. ?It is the need to hoard information before you can take action. It can look like filling your time with research, going down an information rabbit hole, or learning a new skill set, instead of doing the uncomfortable things that drive revenue.
  3. Perfect Details – Spending far too much time on things looking perfect. Your website, social media captions, processes, videos, and email newsletters.?We all start with a crappy website and no followers. We all start with an idea of how we will market and eventually work with clients. ?All those details get better with time.?When you have more paying clients you can hire an expert to build your website or manage your social media.

To aid in your perfect procrastination, give a gander at this week’s live stream.

5. Ask Keita:

Q. Hi Keita, I find myself in this rinse-wash-repeat cycle with procrastination. It’s not laziness or lack of motivation. I am busier than ever and my plate keeps getting fuller. And yet, I have no real business results to speak of. Then, I do it again the next week.?What do you think?

?A: ?You may be experiencing perfect procrastination. It sounds like you are keeping yourself busy to avoid and or justify doing the uncomfortable work that moves the business forward.?Take a moment and ask yourself.?What are you afraid of??Is it rejection? Fear of failure? ?Fear of success? Digging deep to answer that question will help you identify the support you need.?It may be a combination of mindset work, therapy, and coaching.

If you have caught yourself perfectly procrastinating, I am extending a personal invitation to have a brainstorming session with me. Book some time here .
