The Vision Behind the Platform

I wanted to share something that is super personal to me. The idea behind establishing the Women in Commercial Real Estate - #womenincre national network and social media platform came from recognizing a critical gap in the commercial real estate industry. While there were many talented women in commercial real estate, they often lacked the support system necessary to thrive. This platform was designed to fill that gap, providing a space where women could be welcomed warmly, connect with other women, be heard, share their experiences, ask for help, and find the encouragement they needed to push forward.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the platform has been witnessing the incredible encouragement women provide each other. Stories of overcoming obstacles, achieving significant milestones, and navigating the complexities of commercial real estate have become sources of motivation for others. This exchange of experiences has created a ripple effect, where one woman's success inspires another's journey.

I posted about celebrating our 4th year anniversary last month and to my surprise, one of our amazing women, Christina Brooks, Associate Broker from Berkshire Hathaway | CORE Properties in Georgia reposted my original post and shared some of her own thoughts. While LinkedIn is known for sharing and reposting posts, it is not her action what surprised me, it was the heartfelt message she shared with her own connections on LinkedIn.

Realizing it has been FOUR years since this incredible group began. As I reflect back at everything that has happened in the past four years one thing stands out. ? Time is the one resource we all have in equal measure. No matter what we do, it keeps moving forward, relentless and impartial. Whether we are chasing our dreams, building our careers, or nurturing our relationships, time is always passing. How are you using your time?

There is a clear impact of consistent effort and the power of staying focused. Every moment is an opportunity to learn, grow and make meaningful connections and lasting relationships. When you realize just how value time is, prioritization or procrastination becomes second nature. Which one you fall into is completely up to you.

There is no perfect moment.

Identifying what truly matters and focusing your energy on those activities. Invest in yourself, embrace continuous education, seek mentorship (from more than one person), and remain humble. As we continue to grow and evolve, our commitment to empowering women in commercial real estate remains steadfast. We are constantly exploring new ways to provide value, whether through expanding our mentorship support, introducing new educational resources, or fostering more networking and collaboration opportunities. We have almost 1K members on our main Facebook group. We have established over 7K combined followers on our social media platforms. We have created monthly zoom calls to bring women together to have real CRE discussions. We have developed our custom merch store online to help support our network and we recently created our new YouTube Channel where women can submit their videos to showcase their CRE news right from our channel.

The platform has not only empowered countless women but has also enriched my life and career in ways I never imagined. Seeing the positive impact we've made as a professional sisterhood and the lives we've touched is a constant reminder of why our work is so important. I am excited to see what the future holds for the amazing women of commercial real estate and I am truly honored to be part of their journey.
