The Perfect Moment to Grow - Start Before You’re Ready
Have you ever waited for the “right time” to start something new?
For everything to feel perfectly aligned before you take the leap? Here’s the truth, that perfect moment doesn’t exist.
The real growth happens when you step into the unknown, even when you feel unprepared.
The greatest opportunities often lie just outside your comfort zone. Waiting until you’re “ready” only delays your potential and reinforces self-doubt.
Think about it—some of the most successful leaders didn’t wait for perfection. They acted despite their uncertainties, knowing that growth comes from doing, not just planning. Each step forward brings lessons, clarity, and confidence.
Now is the time to take that risk, start that project, or pursue that dream you’ve been putting off. You may not have all the answers, but you’ll figure it out along the way.
Action creates momentum, and momentum builds success.
Remember, being “ready” is a mindset, not a condition. The only thing standing between you and the next chapter of your journey is your willingness to begin.
So, what’s holding you back?
The time to act is now. Start before you’re ready—you might just surprise yourself.

1 个月Neville Gaunt ????thank you for sharing the post and your perspective, and I love and respect your insights on leadership readiness. While I agree with you that a "can-do" attitude and preparation are critical traits for great leaders, in my humble opinion being ready isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about having the mindset to adapt, embrace the unknown, and figure things out as you go. You mentioned the Scout motto, “Be Prepared.” I believe preparation is about readiness of mindset, not necessarily having every detail planned in advance. From my experience great leaders aren’t always " 100% ready" in the traditional sense—they are ready to act, ready to learn, and ready to lead through ambiguity. The point I’m making is that leaders grow when they challenge themselves to step into situations they might not feel fully equipped for 100%. It’s not about recklessness, it’s about trusting in your ability to adapt and thrive under pressure. As we both know history is full of leaders who took bold steps into uncharted territory without complete readiness but with the confidence to rise to the occasion. The headlines might have been better as "You Will Never Be 100% Ready"

1 个月I normally support your insights Moe Nawaz but on this rare occasion we disagree. If you look at all the great leaders they are always ready. They have a can do attitude which means they may not know what’s coming but they welcome it! So the question for me is do all leaders need to be ready? I’d say yes! And to be ready you need that can do attitude, even if you’ve no idea what to do when the change happens!
