The simple photo of a window conveys a lot of things. But are they all true? How much is perceived reality versus actual reality?
- The window looks crooked and all wrong. But in reality, it is a perfect rectangle. The angle at which we look at facts has the tendency to distort them. What is perfectly normal might seem crooked and all wrong. Before we come to conclusions, it is better to change the angle a bit and relook at the scenario. We might find it to be normal as normal can be.
- Bright and sunny outside but dull and dark inside. What we don't see it that it is warm and cozy inside instead of being exposed to the elements outside. The "other" side always looks good. But pause and peek outside. It may not be true. Be thankful for the roof over your head and the comfort of your home. Wherever home or work home is, be happy and thankful.
- The view seems to be distorted by the tiny things sitting on the window. Won't the window be perfect without those tiny distortions? Of course, it will. But is that what we need? The tiny things indicate that there is a little one in the house gathering soft characters and placing them strategically in the window. Sometimes it is not about perfection, it is about finding content in the imperfections.
If your view does not look perfect and sunny, change your perception. Life is not all that bad.
