Every day, in this competitive world, we hear slang or cliches that are based on perception and impression. Examples are, "Fake it till you make it", " First impression matters", "Life is all about packaging" and the likes. Well, perception is one of the ways we brand ourselves as individuals in our own uniqueness to project an impression or image of ourselves, by the way we speak, dress & our charisma.
Adulting exposed me to a lot of experiences that shaped my mindset and made me realise the importance of presenting myself in a way that will create opportunities for me. These experiences include seeing people that aren't even as smart, hardworking, and versatile as I am progressing and doing well. Sometimes, I will be like “what are they doing that I haven't done??” I kept asking myself until I discovered these people package themselves in a more marketable way than I do for myself.
Corporate life developed & awoken my consciousness on the importance of perception and branding. In life, there are tendencies of some people getting stuck in one place because of the lack of packaging, this can be in the way one speaks, one behaves, one’s attitude towards some aspects of life, one's dressing and even "steeze”. To elevate in life, one needs to invest in every aspect that will bring about personal growth.

The pattern of thinking, reasoning and thought process should be captivating, aligning with what can interest your perceivers or influence them. Your taste in everything is very important. Be outstanding, be unique! Being basic doesn't attract.
The reality of perception is consequential based on choice. But, updating ensures relevance. Stay relevant, and as echoed by Tom Peter, “You are the BRAND”
