When allocating a brand’s marketing budget, it’s important to remember that funding is limited and every department vies for their share.
Typically, e-commerce brands spend just about 10% of their net revenue on marketing, which is relatively low. However, despite economic fluctuations, 54% of surveyed companies plan to increase their marketing budgets this year to drive sales, enhance brand awareness, generate leads, convert them into customers, retain those customers, and overall, grow their business.
But where should you allocate more resources and where should you cut back?
The study also indicates that approximately 66% of marketing budgets are directed towards digital marketing channels, although many brands struggle to pinpoint which digital activities yield the best ROI.
