Hello again! It is a pleasure to greet you again in this month of March, which is coming to an end and which has been full of very important events for the company. We’re sure you will be interested in them:

ACCIONA ENERGíA BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF BIOMASS PLANT IN LOGROSáN (SPAIN)

We start the newsletter with a number of projects getting off the ground and a tasty victory. Firstly, this month ACCIONA Energy celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for the Logrosán biomass plant in Badajoz (Spain), which is expected to start producing 376GWh/year in the second half of 2025. This plant will be a huge boost for the region's economy, in addition to contributing to fire prevention, as it will be an incentive for forest clearing, and will generate almost 1,400 direct and indirect jobs.

THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE OPATóW BYPASS HAS BEGUN

Meanwhile, this time in Poland, a groundbreaking ceremony was also held for the construction of the Opatow bypass. Once completed, the €90 million project will help to ease traffic congestion in the area and improve the quality of life for citizens, as well as their safety.

ACCIONA | SAINZ XE TEAM WINS ITS FIRST EXTREME E RACE IN SAUDI ARABIA

And yes, another great news of the month came from the ACCIONA | SAINZ XE Team. The ACCIONA team achieved its first victory in an Extreme E race and climbed to the top of the podium. The first of many more to come. Congratulations team!

PALMA’S LOCAL TRANSPORT COMPANY EMT PRESENTS FIRST THREE GREEN HYDROGEN BUSES

In addition, this month the Municipal Transport Company of the city of Palma, in the Balearic Islands, introduced the first three green hydrogen buses to join its fleet in circulation. It has thus become the first customer of the green hydrogen plant in Lloseta, the pioneering industrial renewable hydrogen plant in Spain, led by ACCIONA Energía and Enagás Renovable.
