ACCIONA ENERGíA EXPANDS ITS PORTFOLIO IN THE US WITH THE ACQUISITION OF TWO NEW WIND FARMS (300MW)

The first highlight in this newsletter comes from the US. ACCIONA Energía has expanded its portfolio in the country with the acquisition of two fully operational wind farms, which will generate approximately 1.1 TWh of renewable energy annually. This move strengthens the company’s position as a key player in the U.S. energy transition.

FORTY MILE WIND FARM POWERS UP CLEAN ELECTRICITY FOR ALBERTA

Another major milestone comes from Canada, where ACCIONA Energía’s Forty Mile wind farm has started supplying renewable energy to Alberta’s power grid. And this is just the beginning—the project, progressing on schedule, is set for completion in Q1 2025 and will generate enough clean energy to power over 85,000 homes.

ACCIONA WILL BUILD A NEW BREAKWATER TO SHELTER FLOATING PORT TERMINAL IN RAVENNA

Great news from Italy! Drawing on its extensive global experience in port construction, ACCIONA will lead the creation of a new breakwater to protect the floating terminal at the Port of Ravenna. Over a 24-month period, the project will involve building an 880-meter-long breakwater with a €216 million investment.

ACCIONA WINS TWO NEW WATER TREATMENT CONTRACTS IN PORTUGAL

In Portugal, we are celebrating two new contracts for the tertiary treatment of water at the Vilamoura Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in the Algarve and the Carvalhal WWTP in Mafra, located in the Lisbon district.

ACCIONA.ORG PROMOTES UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO CLEAN ENERGY AND WATER IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

acciona.org is expanding its reach to a new country! Our foundation will launch a rural electrification program in the province of Elías Pi?a, along with a water and sanitation project in San Cristóbal.

This will be acciona.org’s activity in the Dominican Republic.
