Name/Nickname
- Petre
What are you doing at WebitFactory? What did you start with and what are you doing now?
- I'm working as a PHP/Laravel developer. My journey at WebitFactory started with some basic design tasks at a small project and it continues with projects of all difficulty levels.
Three words to describe your role
- Challenging, astonishing, freak.
What do you like most about working at WebitFactory?
- Every week at this company comes with something new, even if we're talking about some new devices, team-building announcements, information about the new laptop backpacks. It's hard to say if there was a week in the past where there weren't revealed any improvements about the company. This is like an online shooter game which gets weekly updates with new stuff like weapons, maps, characters.
Hobbies? Side-business? Future plans?
- Travelling, is my best way to relax after a full working week, as well as the observational astronomy. I don't think there is a better way to refresh your mind after a full week than watching deep sky objects located at tens or hundreds of light years away. As my side-business activities, I can count two projects I'm working on, one of them being my uncle's car wash website app.
What tech do you wield best and like most? What about a favorite blockchain? Why?
- The Laravel framework was the basis of the most projects I worked on, so I can say it's my favourite. I don't have a favourite blockchain so far, because I haven't got the chance to face a blockchain project challenges yet. Considering some of my colleagues are working on the Solana blockchain, I'm planning to join them at some time in the future. This way, the Solana blockchain has the best chances to become my favourite.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced here at WebitFactory?
- The biggest challenge was a Vue/Laravel task which consisted of six timesheets reports inside a HR module of an ERP. Treating the calendars and dates part of any programming language is the dark side of it, this task was expected to be challenging.
A shoutout or thank you for a colleague? Favourite one, one that ate your lunch, brings harmony or panic attacks?
- Many thanks to Alex Gheorghe, who sometimes shared his delicious homemade food at lunch with me.
