People Volunteering in the UK

You may have seen some posts from me recently regarding the Transforming Autism Project charity. I joined them recently as their recruitment lead, focussing on supporting this relative “start up” charity to grow, and enable them through the right people to launch their family services this Spring. They are a great charity, committed to empowering the families and carers of children with autism to optimise their life prospects and unlock their true potential.

I’ve realised that whilst there are some amazing resources out there for charities, there is also a lack of a community area where volunteers can share ideas to potentially share resources. This is why I’ve started the People Volunteering in the UK group. This is a group where volunteers, or those interested in volunteering can get together and get the support that they’re needing to fulfill a charity role. 

Please feel welcome to join, share your experiences, challenges and successes. Share why you volunteer and what it adds to your life. Ask for help, ask for shared resources, and if your charity is looking for extra volunteers, feel welcome to advertise.
