People at Temedica – Grisilda, Lead Software Engineer
When it comes to driving our vision forward and making our goals a reality, nobody is more important than our wildly talented development team! In today’s edition of People at Temedica, we speak with our invaluable lead software engineer Grisilda, who walks us through her exciting journey as part of our team, explaining the things she values most at our organization whilst also sharing the advice she’d give her younger self.
What initially made you want to work at Temedica, and what has kept you here?
The combination of technology and healthcare seemed very intriguing to me when I joined. The idea that one can impact so many lives directly is very fulfilling - and this is what motivates me every day! Additionally, the engagement and experience that our users have when using our product is very rewarding.
How did you find the application and onboarding process, and which tips would you give to a potential candidate?
Everything was transparent and well organized and, during onboarding, the whole team was very helpful and everyone in the company was hugely welcoming. For potential candidates, I’d recommend preparing well for the interviews and bringing out a couple of concrete examples of how they‘ve tackled and solved challenges in the past.

It’s important to stay with an open mind and have a ”doer“ mentality. The challenges we’re solving at Temedica don’t necessarily have standard technical solutions - we‘re paving the path towards the future of digital healthcare, and we need curious minds and doers to achieve that!
What do you value the most at Temedica?
Everyone at Temedica is able to take the decisions that they think are best to bring the product forward, which makes for a healthy work environment and helps everyone grow. I‘m also a big fan of the commitment of the company to offer different internship programs - it really supports the next generation!
What advice would you give your former self if you had the chance?
To my former self I would say: trust that you‘re on the right path and don’t be afraid to speak your mind.
