People of Sparktech - Daniel Morut meeting the multi-cloud environment
Sparktech Software
A growing team of technical determined people who believe in delivering valuable Big Data & Machine Learning solutions.
Our colleague, Daniel, gave us his thoughts on using cloud technologies and what the future of cloud computing withholds. Passionate and determined, Dani worked as a DevOps Engineer on a project involving multiple clouds. Here’s how it went.
Daniel, tell us more about your experience on this project. What was the ultimate goal of your work?
Being a proof of concept project, the goal was to check different hybrid cloud scenarios by using Azure’s Arc tool in conjunction with services from other cloud providers, like Google or Amazon. The benefit of having a multi-cloud environment is that of accommodating more complex use-cases. By using the latest cloud technologies we can design modern solutions that work efficiently for our clients.
What were some of the challenges that you stumbled across? And what did you do to overcome them?
When working with new technologies, stumbling across technical issues is almost a given. Some are more challenging to solve than others. Whenever I didn’t manage to find a solution by myself, I’d have my colleagues look into it as well, and we managed to overcome all the obstacles together, as a team.
We were wondering, what did you like best about working on this project?
Well, all aspects of the project were new to me, so what I liked most was the opportunity to learn Azure and Azure-related technologies. At the same time, working on the multi-cloud project gave me the chance to connect with my team in that special way that is often born out of sharing both challenges and achievements.?

We all have that team player spirit inside us, but I guess it resurfaces most when our success is laced with our skills, knowledge, and efforts combined.
So, what’s the future of cloud computing from your point of view?
I believe cloud computing will surpass most of the on-prem environments because it offers many out-of-the-box services. It allows you to handle complex situations very easily, so moving to or starting to use clouds is the best option for any company’s future.
