Let's get right to it. People (your customers) are self-centered.
As they should be. As we all are.
With this being true, all prospecting comes down to this!
We must attract and retain customer attention to create demand.
The data in any industry is consistent. Only 1-3% of our total addressable market (TAM) is "in-market" at any given time. This means, if we prospect to hunt for those who are currently in-market, it s a lot like seeking a needle in a haystack.
To attract and retain attention, we need use what we know about human psychology. Primarily, people are inherently selfish. Let's use that to our advantage.
We can attract and retain attention by giving them valuable information that they want NOW. That's it.
Here is the secret though. It takes consistency and thick skin because it doesn't happen immediately. It doesn't take years but its not like you post for a week and PO's magically fly into your inbox.
It's not difficult. It's just hard to be consistent and not get discouraged.
Crafting posts that not only capture attention but also foster meaningful engagement can be the game-changer your professional brand needs.
Here is the best and easiest way to create content that will attract and retain customer attention. Ready for it?
How can you get this information from them?
Be a consistent part of their community by publishing content, commenting on other people's content in your industry and having a genuine curiosity to understand your buyers. Ask a lot of questions!
That's it. Its not hard. It's just difficult to consistently be other oriented and ask questions. However, the payoffs are worth it.
