My previous role as Field Operations manager has been instrumental in my professional growth and career development here at Rekor in several ways. First, it allowed me to hone my leadership and communication skills by leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders to project success. Additionally, my challenges in managing complex projects have sharpened my problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.

Whether it's taking on tough assignments, participating in cross-functional projects, or pursuing more training, I've seen firsthand how investing in skill development can open doors to new career opportunities.

In my pursuit of professional development and staying abreast of industry trends, I've actively sought out various resources and training programs to enhance my skills, both inside and outside the company. One valuable resource I've utilized is Udemy, which is offered here at Rekor.

What retention strategies have you found effective or appreciated within your team, and how does the company ensure employee engagement and job satisfaction?
Within our team, we've found several retention strategies highly effective and appreciated by team members. One strategy that stands out is our regular team-building activities, such as quarterly meetings with team lunches, where we had the opportunity to bond outside of the office environment. These activities have helped foster a sense of camaraderie and cohesion among team members, making our work environment more enjoyable and supportive.

At Rekor, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented culture is ingrained in our company values, and I've had the privilege of experiencing this firsthand throughout my time here. One way Rekor promotes collaboration is by encouraging open communication and cross-departmental cooperation. From regular team meetings to company-wide town hall sessions, there are ample opportunities for employees to share ideas and collaborate on projects.

One key approach is our commitment to investing in cutting-edge technologies and fostering a culture of innovation across the organization. Personally, I've had the opportunity to contribute to technological advancements within my role at Rekor through involvement in cross-departmental projects aimed at improving our system’s performance and functionality.

One key initiative is our formal mentor/mentee development program, which provides participants with mentorship opportunities to develop essential leadership skills such as communication, decision-making, and strategic thinking.
