We asked Florian about his role at radicant bank , how he first got interested in the topic of #sustainability, and what people should know about his job.

1. What’s your role at radicant? What do you do?

Well, my official title is “Head of Digital Wealth Management”, but here’s the thing – the interpretation of this role changes on a daily basis, and it’s like a rollercoaster of responsibilities. While my core focus is on bringing our sustainable investments into our mobile banking app together with an awesome cross-functional team, I also shape the roadmap, liaise with our external partners, and support in daily operations. So, it’s a bit like wearing multiple hats, but I enjoy every twist and turn of the journey!

2. How did you first come into contact with the topic of sustainability? How did you get interested in it? Anyone who inspired you?

Growing up in Switzerland, I spent most of my vacations in the Swiss mountains, where the impact of climate change is impossible to ignore. Dwindling snow, green slopes in winter, and shrinking glaciers. Witnessing this transformation left a lasting impression. Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a responsibility we all share, and it’s a privilege to work where we’re making sustainable banking a reality.

3. One thing you wish more people knew about your job?

One thing I wish more people knew about my job is that even seemingly small changes, like just adding a new screen to the app, require significant effort in terms of building, testing, and preparing the backend infrastructure to ensure seamless integration. It’s a thorough process that goes beyond the surface to deliver a truly exceptional user experience while aligning with our sustainability goals.

4. Why did you choose to work for radicant?

I chose to work for radicant because it’s not just a job; it’s a mission. We’re building the future of banking and we have the unique possibility to build it from the ground up. Every day, I’m part of a great team that’s reshaping the financial landscape, embodying?innovation, purpose, and positive impact. It was an irresistible opportunity to not be part of this!

5. Name one (or more) fun fact(s) about you.

A long time ago I spent a year living in Alaska and that experience ignited my passion for hiking in the wilderness. Since then, I’ve taken my love for adventure to new heights, quite literally! I’ve crossed Switzerland twice on foot in the past three years, from East to West and from South to North. But, you know what? Despite Switzerland’s stunning natural beauty, nothing beats the thrill of waking up in the Alaskan wilderness with a bear casually strolling around outside your tent.
