A warm welcome to the new People Puzzles Midlands newsletter!

The signs of spring are finally here (almost) and with that we are ready for an exciting year of growth ahead.

One of the things I enjoy most about my role at #People Puzzles is meeting ambitious business owners/senior leaders across the West and East Midlands and this month I have had the pleasure of meeting several of our current clients, chatting with them to see how things are going and how we are supporting their growth.

• Our talented People Director Rachel Humphreys has been doing some amazing work with a fast-growing tech company in Staffordshire. She has: Reinvigorated their 3-5 year strategy, creating a shared vision and goals Implemented an org structure review Established a talent management framework to build a pipeline of leaders. Organised an off-site strategy day at @chesterzoo using the principles of the 6 Geniuses by Patrick Lencioni to shape the day

Another of our great Midlands People Directors, Shahbaz Idriss , delivered a fantastic workshop at the @Vistage summit in Birmingham this month, explaining how to create a Powerful People Plan to transform your business. The feedback from the session was overwhelmingly positive and thought provoking for everyone who attended.

I’m really pleased to welcome back Jackie Kibbler to the team following a period of time away from the business. Jackie has 30+ years’ HR experience and has held a number of senior positions in corporate businesses within the financial services, technology and retail sectors. For the last seven years, she has worked as an independent People Director supporting a number of CEOs, Owner Managers, boards and senior leadership teams in a variety of SME businesses. Jackie is already up and running with an exciting new client, supporting them with their business and people strategies as they prepare to move into their next phase of growth.

The next quarter is set to be a busy one, with events taking place with our Liberti Liberti Group partners The CFO Centre UK Freeman Clarke The Marketing Centre Kiss The Fish Ltd , starting with a Women in Leadership lunch in Birmingham on 18th March.
