People Puzzles East June Newsletter

Well at last summer is truly here and it has been much needed to give us all some more positive days ahead of the election next week, which will hopefully help to further decision making for the remainder of the year.

We had a fantastic time last week at our all company conference at The Belfry in Birmingham where we focused on the future of work and how we are leading the field in fractional ‘C-Suite’ directors. Leveraging our national Liberti partnerships with over 500 directors across sales, marketing, finance, people and IT for scaling businesses to help our clients stay ahead in innovation, technology and accessing talent to scale more quickly with just a day per week of support. We were so lucky to have such amazing weather to enjoy our evening BBQ.

I wanted to share with you our brilliant new case study with Greenmill in Colchester, a business that has doubled revenue in the last three years to £40 million and are pioneering innovation in the air conditioning distribution business.

Although growth is often the primary ambition of a business, but when that growth happens fast, it requires the right support to sustain it. To maintain their strong culture and ‘people-first’ approach, Adrian Bates in my team has been working with them during this period to ensure a clear vision and goals, regular strategic communication, revamped company values, a strengthened leadership team, and a focus on employee experience. This approach has ensured that the whole Greenmill team were on the bus and in the right seats, thriving and aligned and along their growth journey. You can read the full case study here.

Finally I am excited to introduce three new started to the team in the East, Pippa Farrell who is based in Hertfordshire and has had a career in various roles across the people function including running the Hong Kong operation within Tesco. Dean Hunter based in Norwich and has just joined from his roe as HR Director from Bernard Mathews and Kinnerton Confectionary and finally Tracey Locke in Peterborough and has joined from a career within the construction industry from Jones Lan Lasalle, Mace and HMRC.

I am off for a week’s holiday to Tunisia for 39 degrees heat ??, being able to go inside term time for the first time in 16 years, with one finished A-Levels, one GCSEs and one University this year!

Wishing you all a good few sunny weeks and do let me know if you wanted a chat about any of the above.

I love having these picture done during sessions… can be very powerful to come back to!
