Introducing MCC’s Sustainability Experts???

At MCC, we have a pointed focus on sustainability. We’d like to set our customers and partners up for sustainable success too. It’s a holistic view on the topic, and touches all three of our pillars – People, Operations, and Products. We speak about it a lot, because it is such an important aspect of our business and commitments.??

Now, we’d like to introduce you to the people we have in place around the world to help us achieve our ambitious sustainability goals and targets.??

Meet Stijn Billiet – Senior Director of Global Sustainability. Stijn is focused on ensuring MCC’s actions reflect a genuine care for our people, the planet, and solving problems through innovation. “I’m particularly proud of how Labeled with Care, initially a strategy for sustainability, has now become part of our brand identity, influencing every aspect of our business.”?

Meet A. Craig Bushman – VP, Research & Development. Craig has over 25 years of experience in printing and packaging and takes a keen focus in developing innovative recycling compatible and sustainable label solutions. “With an ambitious set of goals, and a structured sustainability roadmap, we truly believe that we are set up to get our company to the next level.”?

Meet Philip Martinez – Sustainability Manager, Americas. Phil has been working for MCC for over 9 years focusing on the sustainability and recycling of plastic waste. He has successfully converted the product lines of Fortune 100 companies to fully sustainable solutions. “I hope to use my knowledge to facilitate policies and agendas that will further benefit our efforts to recycle and reduce plastic waste throughout the world.”?

Meet Blanca Brieva Jiménez – Sustainability Manager, EMEA. Blanca has more than 20 years of experience helping organizations to develop their sustainability strategies with her personable leadership and 360 degree vision. “My commitment, adaptability, customer focus and results make me resilient and always ready to take on new professional challenges.”?

Meet Devaki Rajendran – Sustainability Manager, APAC. Devaki takes a keen interest in the people pillar of sustainability for MCC and has initiated various continuous improvement projects while promoting diversity and inclusion for healthier and happier employees. “SHE and ESG work best when employees are connected through collective engagement activities to promote a sustainable culture.”?

Concept to Commercialization???

Implementing our “Concept to Commercialization” process provides our customers with a comprehensive and streamlined journey from idea to market-ready product, ensuring the best possible outcomes for their label solutions.??

Beginning with the (1) Discovery phase, we prioritize building a solid foundation through information exchanges, enabling us to meet the team, understand their challenges, and review capabilities. This initial step is crucial for aligning expectations and laying the groundwork for a collaborative relationship. By actively involving our customers early on, we can better understand their unique needs and preferences, allowing us to tailor our services to their specific requirements.?

Moving through the Planning, Testing, Setup, Production, Distribution, and Support phases, we provide continuous guidance and support.??

(2) The Planning phase focuses on aligning strategy prior to execution, encompassing forecasting, demand planning, and material sourcing.??

(3) The Testing phase ensures the feasibility of the project, including print trials, press checks, and optimizations, minimizing potential issues and guarantees high-quality outcomes.??

(4) In the Setup phase, we compile all details before launch, covering the pre-press process, artwork finalization, and scheduling, setting the stage for seamless (5) Production, when the magic of manufacturing begins.??

(6) Distribution ensures timely delivery and application, while our (7) Support phase offers ongoing service, including account management, field tech service, and access to our customer portal.?

This globally recognized label construction is certified sustainable and APR, RecyClass, and EPBP-approved to enable recycling. The label completely removes from the PET bottle with no contamination of the flakes, offering the high quality aesthetics of a pressure sensitive label with the added benefit of recyclability.??

-recycLABEL SSL (shrink sleeve label)?

Our recycLABEL shrink sleeve application is compatible with local PET recycling process guidelines and offers a “no label” look for premium performance. Available in light-blocking, floatable and crystallizable versions, which are all approved for recycling by different organizations.??
