Hey Felicia! Tell us a bit about yourself and your background.

I hail from the lively Bronx, New York, and I've called Israel home for just over 20 years now. I studied at the State University of Oneonta where I received my BSC in Business Economics.

I'm the proud mom of two amazing kids – my daughter, 28, who followed in my footsteps and also works in tech, and my 24-year-old son, who is currently applying to university. And, I'm over the moon to be a grandmother to an adorable 10-month-old grandson. Let’s not forget grandpa, my husband of many years.

I’m a voracious reader and appreciate a good documentary. I also love any shows that involve time travel or sci-fi. History and archaeology fascinate me – I love diving deep into the past to better understand our present.

When did you first start working at UserWay??

I just passed my one year UserWay anniversary! I started in June 2023.

How did you first hear about UserWay??

I first heard about UserWay from Marna Becker, Ball of Energy ?? , our current Web Accessibility Specialist – Team Lead. This is actually the third company where we’ve had the pleasure of working together! Marna told me about UserWay’s culture and mission, and I knew right away that it would be a perfect fit. While I value my past work experiences, I've always yearned to be part of an organization that makes a positive impact on the world, particularly by assisting those who need it most.

I take immense pride in working for UserWay.

Can you tell us what an average day looks like for you??

My day always begins with going through my emails. Throughout the day, I focus on following up on renewals, and meeting with clients for training, QBRs, or billing reviews.

As a people person, I genuinely enjoy the opportunity to work directly with clients on a daily basis.

I pride myself on being a fiercely independent worker who gets the job done. Let’s just say that when teammates need something done quickly, they say "Let’s Felicia it."

What’s a project you’ve particularly enjoyed working on?

In general, my extroverted self loves reaching out to clients, introducing myself, and meeting with them 1:1.

One project I’ve particularly enjoyed involves working with an enterprise account and its subsidiaries. There was a company with accounts scattered across various places, and I noticed that these accounts ideally needed to be unified under one account manager. I took the initiative to unify their accounts – streamlining their experience.

Name 3 things you enjoy about working at UserWay.

1. The product itself – I love knowing that the work I do directly impacts individuals with disabilities, who make up 16% of the global population.
2. The culture, which encourages independence while also fostering teamwork.
3. I really mean this one – the people I work with are truly fantastic.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Archaeologist, 100%.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

It would be incredible to be able to speak any language.

What do you want to change about the world?

That people take others at face value without taking the time to get to know them. I dream of a world where no one judges books by their covers.?
