The Apollo Family is made up of determined and passionate people. Over 19,000 employees across 44 countries. 4 different generations, bringing with them their diverse experiences and unique perspectives.?

The automotive industry is at a critical juncture where new technologies, automation, and the shift to digital are becoming the norm. And I have always believed in embracing technology and the newer ways to facilitate more effective business functions.?

But come what may, it is the people, the human capital that drives this transformation through shared goals, leadership, collaboration, open communication, and a strong sense of accountability and trust.

Our ‘People’ pillar is an essential part of our Vision 2026, and Apolloites have been instrumental in carrying us on our journey, furthering this vision of driving progress together.?

I am genuinely moved by the recognition we have earned from prestigious organisations. The accolades we have received from the Top Employer Institute and the Great Place to Work Institute serve as a humbling reminder of our commitment to talent development and our enduring dedication to inclusivity. Our mission to foster a high-performance culture is deeply rooted in our belief of taking ownership and accounting, while driving for growth and results. building a high-performance culture is an ongoing process that requires consistent effort, effective leadership, and open communication. It's about creating an environment where individuals feel empowered, motivated, and supported to excel and contribute to the organization's success. We all have a role to play.

Creating a Sense of Belonging: One Apollo

We cannot build a high-performance culture, if we are not inclusive in our approach, and truly believe that everyone in the Apollo One Family should find a place of belonging within our organisation. This principle drives us to craft policies that facilitate professional growth and prioritise the holistic well-being of each member of our global family. We believe in creating a workplace where every person feels valued, heard, and inspired.

Active listening and continuous employee feedback are pivotal to creating an environment that fosters growth and well-being. Through Apollo Voice, our global engagement survey, we endeavour to listen to what each member of the Apollo family has to say, and this helps us create a positive workplace culture, building trust and forging stronger relationships.?

We also conduct regular workshops and interventions based on building an inclusive culture & mitigating unconscious bias’ to provide a psychologically safe place to work. Our Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) provide tech-enabled online and offline wellbeing solutions.?

Global Learning Initiatives: A Culture of Collective Growth

In our pursuit of enabling excellence, we approach learning and development with the understanding that there is always room for growth and collaboration.?

We introduced our Five@5 microlearning programme to foster constant learning across all levels. Apolloites are encouraged to take just five minutes from their everyday work routines to learn something new.

Through the Apollo Capability Academy, we leverage the experiences of subject matter experts within the organisation to build a culture of cross-functional learning. Different teams take up the mantle to teach what they learn as we look to build a foundation of shared knowledge and capabilities across our workforce.?

With newer technologies coming into the foray and newer generations entering the industry, upskilling leadership capabilities are at the focal point of our L&D policies.?

Our flagship Apollo Laureate Leadership Development Programme aims to develop leadership skills through comprehensive courses for the established, emerging and future leaders at Apollo Tyres.?

Our people at our manufacturing plants are supported with programmes for capability development, including the Total Quality Management training for process improvement and programmes like Technical Talk to support functional and technical training.?

We reward performance through our Roll of Honour Awards, and every year, the most outstanding employee at Apollo Tyres is bestowed with the Chairman’s Employee of the Year Award by my father. Milestones are commemorated through Apollo Pillars as we champion Apolloites and thank them for their long-term dedicated service to the company. Achievements are celebrated at the Chairman’s Recognition Week as we come together annually to laud our brilliant talent for their exceptional contributions to Apollo Tyres.
