A message from God to you... Stop allowing people to play you for a fool. Too often, out of desperation, we let our dignity roll over and play dead for less of a reason. Just because you're broke, just because you're in need, just because you're experiencing a bad moment, you DO NOT have to surrender your soul. You're so much better than that. Warning - People will pimp you like a $3.00 Hoe if you let them. Know your value. The fact that you exist is proof of your worth. God created you for a reason and He doesn't make junk.
Why are you allowing your low self esteem to demolish you one incident at time? You will NOT live a day longer, you won't grow an inch taller, nor will you be any happier because you bent over backwards to make someone else happy. It's okay to love people, provided you do love them at your expense. It's not your responsibility to continually pick up the pieces for other people. This includes your children, your mate, your siblings and especially your "alleged friends." Stop being somebodies crotch puppet.
Overcompensation isn't helping you. If people don't reciprocate the love you give them, show you the respect you show them or appreciate the time you spend with them - BOUNCE! That's their way of telling you, "you don't matter to me." When people value you, you know it. Just because they apologize, buy you a gift or offer to treat you to a meal, once once you call them out, doesn't infer they actually give a damn. Don't confuse intentional manipulation with sincere appreciation. Value yourself. If you don't who will. Selah...
From God, to You, Through me, Dr. D Ivan Young. I love you madly most sincerely I do.
