As you engage with others this week, remember that it's not merely the words you say but the lasting impression of how you make people feel. Emotions have a lingering impact, and individuals rarely forget the way someone made them feel.

Whether it's through kindness, empathy, or understanding, the emotional imprint you leave can shape lasting connections. So, be mindful of the emotions you evoke in those around you, as the essence of those feelings endures far beyond the spoken words.

Equally, listen to that 'feeling' too! It's usually right. (Read Know Your Worth Article below)

Trauma-Informed Self-Care Workshop, Compass Jobs Fair, London


I facilitated my Trauma-Informed Self-Care Workshop at the Compass Jobs Fair in London. The room was filled beyond capacity (as you can see those standing at the back) with enthusiastic social workers and managers.

During our session, participants actively crafted their personalised trauma-informed self-care plans. The level of engagement was noticeable, as illustrated in this photo, with everyone fully immersed in the workshop exercises. ??

?????Know Your Worth

Knowing your worth is not contingent upon external validation or the perceptions of others; it is an unwavering belief in your unique value, contributions, and potential.

As we navigate the intricate pathways of existence, there may be moments when the brilliance of your worth is seemingly overshadowed, or unnoticed by those around you.

In these instances, the true testament to your strength lies in your ability to confidently walk in your worth, undeterred by the fleeting opinions of others.

Did you notice that the word 'fleeting' is in bold?

Fleeting in this instance means temporary! Therefore, it does not define you, your work, your contribution etc. Yes, you will experience challenges, below are 3 tips to help you.

In honouring and embodying your worth, you become the architect of your future, sculpting a reality where your authenticity shines, and your impact reverberates, regardless of who may or may not bear witness to the magnitude of your essence.

As far as I'm concerned, let them enjoy 'I'm Going to Shine Show' ?? ??

??3 HOT TIPS to Help You Recognise Your Worth

  1. Reflect on Your Achievements and Growth: Take the time to reflect on your accomplishments, both big and small. Consider the challenges you've overcome and the progress you've made in various aspects of your life. Recognising your achievements can provide tangible evidence of your abilities and strengths, reinforcing a sense of worth.
  2. Set Healthy Boundaries: Pay attention to your boundaries in relationships and various life situations. Knowing your worth involves recognising when to say no, setting limits on what you're willing to tolerate, and advocating for your needs. Establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries is a powerful way to affirm your self-worth and ensure that others respect it too.
  3. Practice Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding that you would offer to a friend. Acknowledge that everyone makes mistakes and faces challenges. Practice self-compassion by embracing your imperfections and learning from setbacks rather than allowing them to define your worth. Remember that your value isn't determined solely by external validation.

Turn up the volume of your self-worth, dance to your rhythm, and let the world witness the unapologetic beauty of your authentic stride.
