People must believe first, succeed next.
Before I achieved any success, I was fortunate to have people in my circle who instilled a winning mindset in me. These wonderful individuals consistently provided encouragement and positive reinforcement. Although life can be chaotic, the constant stream of positivity in my mind kept me motivated.
My father was one of these people. When I was the smallest player on the football field, my dad would pump me up by saying, "If you were bigger, you wouldn't be allowed to play." Although this statement was complete nonsense, I started to believe in myself and my abilities.
Are you depositing positivity into someone else's life? In order for someone to achieve success, they must believe in themselves and visualize it before it becomes a reality. Can individuals who believe they will fail ever experience success on a large scale? The answer is a resounding "no."
It is much easier to criticize and doubt than it is to believe in someone's potential. However, it is important to realize that by doing so, we are not helping others reach their full potential. Rather, we should strive to add positivity and encouragement to someone's life, in order to help them reach their goals and succeed.
