People Moves in the HR function 2024
The Wilton & Bain People & Culture practice have explored the UK, US, EMEA and APAC for significant people moves within the HR function so far in 2024. It is great to see a number of promotions as well as external hires at Chief People Officer level and in the People Leadership team including Talent, Reward and DE&I.
Aimee Hoyt has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Palo Alto Networks. She joins the business from Illumina where she was Chief People Officer.
Andrew Mulder has joined Nudge as People Director. He was previously Head of People at MVF.
Marriott International have hired Ann-Marie Wood as Senior Director, Talent Acquisition. She joins from Meta where she was the Director of Recruiting for EMEA & APAC.
Aoife Glassman has joined Sainsbury’s as their Interim Director of Reward. She was previously Director of Reward & People Operations at British Airways.
Asha Musoni has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer at CBI. Musoni joins the business lobbying group from Ofcom, where she was Head of People Strategy.
Atlassian have promoted Avani Prabhakar to Chief People Officer.
Merck have hired Betty Larson as EVP, Chief HR Officer. Larson joins from GE Healthcare, where she most recently served as Chief People Officer.
Carol Sommerville has joined Compass Group UK & Ireland as Chief People Officer. Sommerville joins the contract catering giant from luxury pre-owned watch business Watchfinder, where she was Global HR Director.
Cheryl Bosi has joined Flutter Entertainment as Chief People Officer for the UK & Ireland. She was previously Head of HR for HSBC UK.
Claire Bailiss has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Sportingtech. She joins the business from GAN where she was the European HR Director.
Darktrace has appointed David Smith as Chief People Officer. David joins from 10x Banking where he held the role of Chief People Officer.
Dee Reandi has been promoted to Head of Talent Acquisition and Attraction at Smiths Group.
Walgreens Boots Alliance have appointed Elizabeth Burger as Chief HR Officer. She was previously Chief HR Officer at Flowserve.
Emma Rose has joined Convatec as Chief People Officer. She was previously the Chief People Officer at Travis Perkins.
Brunswick Group has appointed Fabiola Williams as its new Partner and Group Head of Talent and
HR, effective 10th May. Fabiola joins from McArthurGlen Group, where she was Chief PeopleOfficer.
Online marketplace GetYourGuide has appointed Genevieve Vancutsem-Zednik as its new ChiefPeople Officer. Genevieve was previously the Chief People Officer for Europe & Asia at Wayfair.
Bravura Solutions has hired Gillian Davie as Chief People Officer based in Sydney. She waspreviously People & Culture Director for AMP Australia.
Henrik Ranzau Hansen has joined Haleon as Global Head of People Services & HR Transformationfollowing 9 years at Philips in Global HR Services & Solutions roles.
Gousto have hired James Brewin to lead the Talent Acquisition team. He previously led the GlobalR&D Talent Attraction team at Snyk.
Jennifer Tippin has moved from the Group Chief People & Transformation Officer role into theGroup Chief Operating Officer role at Natwest.

Accolade has promoted Kelsi McDonald Harris to Chief People Officer. She was previously Vice President for Strategy & Planning.

Unilever has announced the appointment of Mairead Nayager as its new Chief People Officer. She will join the business on 1st June. She is currently Chief HR Officer at Haleon. She previously served as CHRO of Diageo between 2015 and 2022.
Marc Conway has joined Influencer as Global Talent Acquisition Director. He was previously Head of Talent Acquisition at Global.
N Brown Group has appointed Natalie Rogers as Chief People Officer. She joins from Moonpig where she was Interim Chief People Officer.
The Stepstone Group have hired Nicola Weatherhead from Google to lead Global People Operations and Talent Acquisition.

Rory Litherland has been appointed as Global Head of Organisational Effectiveness at Haleon. He has previously held senior HR leadership roles in organisations such as Pandora and 21st Century Fox.

So many people have been saying that the HR sector has been stagnant over the past year, but this proves them wrong. Some interesting moves and promotions. Thank you for collating and sharing and congratulations and good luck during the year ahead to all on your list ??. I would like to add Karen Lloyd ACIPD MLPI, whom I had the privilege of mentoring last year as part of the CIPD Trust's Aspiring HR Directors' Programme, she was both promoted at the Office for National Statistics and then recruited into a new role in senior leadership at Dstl during the space of the year; she will be one to watch going forwards.
