And just weeks ago, Dr. Kwane Stewart — a veterinarian whose nonprofit,?Project Street Vet, provides medical care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness — became the CNN Hero of the Year, receiving an additional $100,000 and more?for his cause.

1 年Joseph Campbell's writing about “The Hero’s Journey.” It helps this Viet-era veteran’s journey using his GI bill to explore Behavioral Science, and my journey in advocating to leaders, experts, institutions, reporters, & social media about one small part of 1979 H.R. 2206 National Service Act’s proposal for a local to USA youth wake-up call on civic values/education talks between their 17th and 18th birthdays. And the marketing of voluntary service-learning in many forms & activities, with non-profits, community (AmeriCorps), or military service, & other social formats. A mystery for me since 9/11/01 is the 100% silence from my 3-part strategy of close, brief talk with civic heroes for 2 minutes, a 1-minute explanation, a photo together, and sharing written info, other photo encounters. Then, waiting for years for feedback that never happened, I posted since 2010 on Twitter (X) https://twitter.com/pjesella, with 99.9% silence.
