People Evaluation at Work

From my overall career experience, I have done a lot of people evaluations and a few of my findings and thoughts are shared here.

A few people are happy to be there with what they have and what they have achieved so far. They don't complain about anything and are not very demanding as well. Some other people are happy so far but looking for more than what they are doing at the moment. They are tireless and enthusiastic. A few others are not happy so far at the role and hence they want to move in a different role as they are not utilizing their real potential, calibre and interest. Some are saturated in the same limited repetitive tasks and want a change and need more areas to explore. Since they do repetitive tasks, they are bored and also forget the areas they are supposed to work on.

Another set of people want a level shift in their career ladder and are confident enough to take up challenges. Such people are demonstrating a preparation track they are working on to move up. They are clear on what they do in their next level. Some other set of people also want a level shift in their career but not showing enough confidence in the roles to play at a new level. They have a strong feeling that they are supposed to be promoted but there is nothing evident that they can play the role with ease.

A few people are wrong hires and not even showing base fitment for the job role. Such people are unable to mentor and elevate to a new role as well. A few senior positions are observed in such a way that they are good people managers but not good enough to contribute for the organizational strategies and innovations and growth. They do a few routine jobs and get help from fellow people and finish ther routine tasks and execute a few instructions from the top.

Some people are extra smart and they are doing their tasks with very minimal efforts and enjoy more free time at work. They always find short cuts for doing their job. Such very intelligent people seem to be lazy or not serious at their work but produce extraordinary results at times when they present things. They get high appreciation and others envy on them as well.

Some people want a lot of leasure at workplace. Some people are addicted to games as well.?
