There is a talent shortage out there, in the market. Too many good jobs and too few good people. This scarcity is the reason usually war starts.

War for talents!

In order to win it, an organization needs a visionary HR professional, a people strategy and disciplined execution of that strategy.

If, let's say, I'm the HR professional able to build the people strategy, only together we'll be able to implement it!

Stop focusing on recruiting, stop chasing the talents (you'll scary them, you'll end up overpaying them)! Instead, build a culture so strong and so attractive, so that the talents will be fighting to join your team. People need to contribute, people need a meaning. Make them feel they count for something.

Stop building a productivity obsessed system! Instead, start building a growth obsessed system. Aim for people growth in order to gain business growth.

People are unique. Their uniqueness is a source of competitive advantage for your organization. Irreplaceable, unrepeatable therefore impossible to copy nor to duplicate. The best competitive advantage your organization could hope for is the uniqueness of your talents.

Teams are more than sum of their parts. In the interconnected, complex and unpredictable new world, team's effort to adapt and collaborate in real time makes all the difference between success and failure. Grow your talents, empower them, delegate to them and your organization will thrive.

Doing the right thing when strategizing and doing the things right when operating at tactical level is the key to business success.

Touching hearts and minds is the key to changing people focus and aligning them to a successful strategy.

Nowadays HR is business and business is HR. Access to capital is more facile then access to skilled, talented people. Focusing on people you'll be focusing on business. Growing your people, you'll be growing your business.

I will add : look for experience and expertise not for the specificity of the industry spent . The value added people might be in other areas ...
