The Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA) have selected and appointed PwC as their Data Expert Partner.

We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed by PASA - Pensions Administration Standards Association CIC as their Data Expert Partner.? This partnership underscores our strategic focus in data, benefits and operations of pension schemes. Our selection as the Data Expert Partner reflects on our strategic focus in the pensions data space, deep understanding of third-party administration and our expertise in data analytics, management and technology.

As Data Expert Partner, PwC UK will work alongside PASA to deliver guidance and thought pieces to drive up pension data standards. 2025 is a big year in pensions – dashboard connections, anticipated record-breaking insurance transactions, AI expansion, strategic innovations and more, and PwC will play a pivotal role in working with PASA to support the industry.

Our work with PASA will be led by Kristy Cotton , who joined us earlier this month as a Director to help lead our data, benefits and operational services to pension schemes, with Kristy chairing the PASA Data Working Group. Kristy has extensive experience of providing specialist data and operational service to schemes, including data cleanse and remediation projects, GMP equalisation, pensions dashboards, administration operations, and insurance readiness.?

We are really excited about the services we are providing to pensions schemes in the data, benefits and operations space:

• Mike Kippax and the team have worked with a number of schemes to undertake GMP equalisation and other data and benefit rectification projects, often removing blockers that schemes have faced with incumbent administrators / advisers to get projects done quicker and better and enabling wider scheme objectives to move forwards.? We really think we are uniquely positioned to provide data and benefit services to schemes that are built on extensive expertise and resource capabilities, using advanced technologies, are independent and unbiased, and are delivered with a strategic and holistic focus.
• Our Pensions Management Consulting team (PMC) led by Simon Bourke , are highly experienced in supporting in pension scheme operations, delivering a wide range of assignments in the public and private sectors, including administration strategy and target operating model design, current state assessments, performance improvement projects, and outsourcing and re-tender exercises.
• We are working with a number of schemes to support their buy-in preparation and buy-in to buyout journeys, where data and operations are often key blockers to achieving the desired timeframes. We know that operational readiness is a key workstream for risk transfer and Matt Cooper and team are working collaboratively with our data specialists to bring innovation and efficiency to risk transfer; look out for our new Buy-in to Buy-out proposition soon.
