Penrith Rugby Revival
Congratulations to all our teams!
Following Xplorer and reading reports (because we had 4 of 5 Grand Finals on at once) there were some great accounts of our teams today.
3 Premierships is a great achievement! Remembering our club was started to bring change to Penrith Senior Rugby. Hearing about the comebacks, being down and never out, the positivity to rally in the face of adversity and just play rugby - our brand of rugby was tremendous!
Congratulations to our U15s who have played in 4 straight Grand Finals and today won their third in a row. They were in a tight battle with Wahroonga Tigers Rugby Club before taking the win 43-15
Congratulations to our u14s winners 24-17 over JV Drummoyne Dirty Reds Junior Rugby/ Wests. After being down 12-5 at half time the arm wrestle stood at 17 all until a last minute try to RSL sealed the win.
Commiserations to our u13 Runners up but congratulations on a stellar season. Swiping through the rounds on Xplorer their round 1 score was a loss to Blacktown Scorpions Rugby Union 29-0, Today same opponent the result was 22-12. Blacktown were a well drilled unit and we look forward to renewing the rivalry in 2020!
Congratulations to our u12s winners! The 12s also scored the final try to win 29-28 over Wests Junior Rugby Club and had to rally late to take the Cup!
Commiserations to our u11 Runners up! These little warriors were amazing and their comeback was incredible to finish up 32-22 against a lightning fast St Ives Junior Rugby. Scott 'Razor' Robertson talks about 'team index' and this squad has it! - look it up! As they say with something good you want to bottle it and share it and next year we hope they can be 3 stand alone sides; u12, u11 and u10s!
Thank you to our parents and supporters! In particular those who volunteer and fill the sometimes thankless jobs including coach, trainer and manager. Thank you to our sponsors -without you our club would simply not be doing what we do!
Be proud RSL !
See you Saturday afternoon/evening September 21 for Presentation!

5 å¹´Congratulations Penrith RSL on a huge season! Rugby in the Western Suburbs has increased significantly with Penrith Jnr Emu's drawing on talent from 4 clubs as a pathway to representative honors.
