Penny Lick Ice Cream, located at 580 Warburton Ave in Hastings was founded in 2013 with the mission of bringing back old fashioned ice cream --no artificial ingredients. The store sells ice cream that are peanut and tree nut free.

I interviewed Ellen Sledge, who founded the Ice Cream store on my WVOX radio show recently. Ellen is also involved with the Rivertowns Chamber of Commerce - an organization that does a great job promoting local businesses. Ellen talks about her store, how she markets her business and provides excellent tips on how to?run? a successful local merchant.? Her ice cream is delicious and she is expanding her business to other locations in Westchester.
