Penning Things Down

Honestly speaking I don't know where I picked up the habit of jotting things down. All I know is I have always had a notebook. From when I was very young. However the older I get, the more things I have on my plate. A number of people have mentioned to me, that I am pretty organized, but to be fair it how my brain works best. Then intrinsically, I got the slight OCD genes.
Before I started working, I had one notebook. However, on the onset of employment, I onboarded a diary, because again my photographic memory will only remember if I wrote it down. Therefore currently I have 4 books, that help me keep my life organized while I juggle the many balls life has handed me.
- A notebook(the small brown one)- I usually do my monthly budget on there. I know we have electronic ways of doing things, but there is just something about pen and paper. I also write my wishlist and have my own record of my savings and monthly payments, in case there is a discrepancy on the other end.
- My dairy- I write in it my daily tasks. That is from work as well as my personal businesses. Since I write in it daily... I use the bottom part to track my daily expenses. I work hard for my money, I need to know where it is going.
- My sales book(Black stiff cover) - Here I record all sales of my business. Since I operate an online business, I could be doing business from anywhere and my laptop ain't near. So I use it instead. Easy to carry.
- My journal(pink) - I started journaling this year. I started feeling overwhelmed and even after praying sometimes, I needed somewhere to express myself and also talk to God again, the effect pen and paper have on me. Initially, I would journal daily... But since we started working from home, the day can be monotonous, so I journal once a week. Sometimes I forget and therefore I need to be intentional about it...but ideally, once a week is what is currently working for me.
I would like to hear how you stay organized or on top of the many things you have going on. Feel free to leave a comment below.
