The Pen is Mightier than the Sword.
The Pen is Mightier than the Sword—Mostly.
The Oath, as stated in Article II, Section I, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution, is as follows: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." The President and Vice President have taken that oath.
The Oath required for all Office for Members of Congress is: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely.
What if the person(s) taking these solemn oaths, refuses to follow the Constitution faithfully? What if they go against the Constitution and make “Executive orders,” illegal laws, or deals (treaties) with our enemies, without Congress (Senate) approval? That has already happened!
Current List of Anti-Constitutional & Socialistic/Marxist Acts.
Many have already broken their solemn oath of office, for example:
1. Stopping the oil pipeline between the U.S. and Canada is international Commerce, which is the right of Congress to decide.
2. Not stopping the oil pipeline between Germany and Russia is against U.S. interests, and contradicts (1) above U.S.-Canadian action.
3. Opening U.S. borders to illegal migration is clearly an act against preserving and protecting the constitution and the country.
4. Making a deal with terrorist enemies, Iran (among others) is actually a treaty, which must be agreed to and approved by the senate.
5. Forcing states to not reduce taxes, if they take federal financial support from a tax bill, is an illegal act and unconstitutional.
6. Encouraging thousands of children (and adults) from a foreign country to enter the U.S. illegally is an act against the constitution.
7. Packing children together into camps that spread diseases, and deprive them of the basic needs or civilized human standards, is cruel and unusual treatment, which is against International laws.
8. Creating a law (H.R.1), that take-away Federalism (States’ Rights) such as voting laws, among others, is clearly unconstitutional.
9. Stopping public schools from opening by Teacher Union diktats is against human rights, state laws, and is illegal.
10.Loss of our constitutional right of free thought, speech, publication by selected major independent media and network companies.
These are but a few critical events, so far. What can U.S. citizens do about these alleged illegal and unconstitutional acts? Many of these acts must go through the federal courts before they come to the Supreme Court for final decision. That takes months, if not years. Meanwhile, citizens can do is what Mohandas Gandhi did as an anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist, who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign to free India. We can “emulate” his methods PEACEFULLY, while waiting for the courts or congress to act to free America.
Next, citizens can protest by writing letters to the “free press,” any free media sources and especially their congressional representatives. Remember, “The Pen is Mightier than the Sword,” only if you write. On November 2022, we can vote against those who did not honor their oath. Vote them out of office and elect those who will serve their country honorably.
In addition (as I suggested in my prior article), State Governors can use their National Guard to close and protect our borders, and then sent the bill to D.C. for payment for “services rendered to protect the U.S.”
Teacher Unions have kept our public schools closed, when thousands of private schools have been open since last September. What can we do? Since parents are school taxpayers and these are their children, who are not receiving what they paid for, they should (must) fire union bosses, take over their schools, and then hire capable good teachers ASAP.
Finally, if the Feds continue to spend taxpayer funds without GOP and Dems debate and discussion, before voting and passing one-sided spending bills, we can as groups of millions of citizens peacefully refuse to pay illegal taxes. What did citizens do when the British forced their taxes on us? The Tea Act…ultimately compelled a group of “Sons of Liberty” on the night of December 16, 1773 to disguise themselves as Mohawk Indians, board three ships moored in Boston Harbor, and destroy over 92,000 pounds of British East India Company tea.
