Pelvis tilt, bump and hula

Pelvis tilt, bump and hula

Pelvises are supposed to be able to rotate, but many of us only really use our pelvises in one plane, or even can't move them at all (it's surprisingly common, in my experience, to find my patients' tight back muscles holding their pelvis firmly in one position, from which they literally can't move!)

In this video, I teach you how to tilt your pelvis forward and back, how to "bump" it from side to side (a move I learned in burlesque class!) and then how to get a really good pelvic hula, so that your pelvic joints can move freely.

This exercise is taken from the second of my Deskercise sessions. This session was designed to improve joint metabolism for the whole body. Joints are healthier when they move regularly - movement promotes the flow of nutrients into the joint, and waste products out.
