The creative shows the stages through which children finally start believing in peer pressure. It does not happen overnight but, over a long period of time. It starts right from the early or growing years.

1. Adolescents, Teenagers, and Young Adults turn to peer pressure in the first place because they were not accepted for who they were and what they think. ??

2. Since nobody interpreted their true beliefs, this leads to unregulated emotions in them. ?

3. Their thoughts were not appreciated. Because their raising was prone to limited lifestyle, regressive thoughts, or discriminative attitudes of parents/caretakers.??

4. Feelings were either flushed out or forced to hold on to spaces they could never find stability or trust. Thus their feelings remained unprocessed. ?

5. Automatically their actions were judged. And judgement is the end of pure love. ???

6. Growing always under a scanner. Not free. Not happy. Hooked to expectations on how to live life. ??

7. This leads them to become seekers of constant approval and affirmations. Their happiness is an outcome of the checkboxes of peer groups.?

8. And their happiness is bound to external pleasures & extreme materialism. ?

Parents who believe in ruling over children and making it a give-and-take policy establish an authoritarian relationship. There is no balance in such a relationship. It will always be lopsided over to the parents, leaving the child on the edge. The child would be raised confused, asking oneself who shall I trust? The child will then leap on anyone who might show even the slightest concern or affection (which might or not be their true intentions).

Adopting Conscious Parenting is about ever-flowing transparency. First with ourselves, since we have been given the role of parents or choose to be one. Second, create an unbiased path of communication with children. This will help both us, the parents, and our children to grow and evolve together. That is what a family is all about!
