Warmer weather brings opportunities to spend time outside with family and friends, but it also brings additional risks to children unattended in vehicles - pediatric heatstroke.?Pediatric heatstroke is a dangerous risk that must be taken seriously. In just a few minutes unattended children in a hot car can experience lethal consequences.
This week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is launching their annual pediatric heatstroke public action campaign that will last through the summer. Sunday, May 1st is National Heatstroke Prevention Day. So, what can we do to help keep children safe??
