Pedestrian simulation webinar wrap up
Marios Ntaflos
Civil Engineer MSc MEng | Promoting Mobility Simulation tools in EMEA & Americas
Last week, we organised a very successful webinar about pedestrian simulation with the LEGION software. We had over 400 registrants from 63 different countries which gives us confidence that more sessions like this one are needed.
In case you or your colleagues missed parts of the webinar, the session is now available on-demand here.
During the webinar we showed how LEGION has been used by different organisations around the world to deliver and to improve pedestrian infrastructure.
From simulating stadium evacuations to imrpoving station operation planning and the efficient use of space, LEGION can ensure the safe and smooth movement of people.
We want to hear from you!
After the session, we have asked the attendees what topics they would like to hear in future webinars. The majority replied that they want to see a live demo of the software and to know more about social-distancing and LEGION 3D.
We also asked them in which sectors they wish to use pedestrian simulation. Almost 80% responded urban and rail. With changes seen to city life since the Covid-19 pandemic, this highlights the importance of rethinking urban planning in post Covid world.
What is coming next?
In the coming months, we plan to organise more LEGION webinars to cover some of these topics of interest and in particular around the relaunch of LEGION 3D which is expected before the end of the year.
We would also love to hear from all of you working on pedestrian simulation, and to discuss how LEGION can add value to your projects.
