Peak - Women in leadership – What next for ‘24

As always, a huge thank you from me for the support that this program receives. We have over 150 registered female leaders for our Peak program. We continue to deliver with purpose, an intimate and trusting environment where leaders can share challenges and learn from each other's expertise. Typically 20 to 30 people attend each session.?

We are proud to host collaborative groups and watch members connect on subjects that in 2023 have included:

  • Unconscious Bias – leading the conversation and awareness
  • Menopause – how to equip yourself for constructive conversations
  • Navigating the change conversation and;

Ask Peak – expanding in 2024

This session focused on enabling members to Ask attendees for their advice.?

Ask Peak was a stand-out feature that we will include in every Peak session next year.?

Career Guidance

Leadership recruitment has entered a more equal playing field as we close out 2023. Executive and Senior leaders must demonstrate robust knowledge of core IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and new and innovative technology. We will continue to provide guidance and coaching to our Peak members on this subject, helping individuals know how to showcase their value proposition in all career-focused conversations.?

We will also be looking at AI and potential recruitment bias

A new report from Diversity Council Australia has warned that AI-powered recruitment can negatively impact workplace diversity unless it is deployed with an inclusive approach.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing how organisations hire for better or worse.

In Australia, the use of AI in recruitment has?nearly doubled?over the past year, and spending on AI systems is set to grow to?$3.6 billion by 2025?– an increase of 24% since 2020.

Used correctly, this technology can reduce costs, save time, and create fairer outcomes for minority groups. However, a three-year project undertaken has revealed that without the right approach, AI has the potential to mirror society’s inequalities and bake in Bias.?

C-Suite Peak

We look forward to the growth of the Peak diversity initiative in 2024, including a new C-suite program that we will be sharing news about early in the new year.?
