I’ve held on to this little writing for days, and I can only say it’s because I don’t want to express my opinion here to others on politics.
I work hard to stay out of political discussions. I never write about it. I have my own personal beliefs, but I rarely share them except with close friends. This week, however, made it almost impossible to stay on the sidelines.
Since Wednesday where people stormed the capital, I’ve felt edgy and uncomfortable. I feel like I’m waiting for another shoe to drop.
I try to not watch the news, but I find myself drawn to it.
I have lived a long time, and I know I’ve lived in the best Country in the World. Yes, we have some serious problems, very serious - we can’t let them destroy us.
So, what do I do now? I am a simple person. I walk in crosswalks. I follow the rules, and I believe that we have the best rules that could exist in our Constitution. I pray that we get through the days of January 2021 without further illegal acts against our Nation.
I hope that we all come together to pray for the peaceful transition of power.
