A PEACE of WORK: Volume 2

I love reflecting at The Spear. I intend to do so this day. That said, after a cool convo with Stephen Burry on immigration and global community yesterday, I reflected and was inspired to offer up a second volume of A PEACE of WORK.

And that said, in A PEACE of WORK: Volume 1 for April 2022, I noted that "A PEACE of WORK?is intent on being a bit of a catalogue?and?catalyst, holding resources and links and posts ... and will be a kind of buffet table of our work with?Epic Engage." With all of that in mind and heart, it must be said that we serve...

• Leaducators … in the classroom, understanding the impact and opportunity they have to affect the world in all arenas of human endeavor… through their teaching and their capacity to lead, inspire, educate and unite; to be?that?teacher who makes such a difference.?You know who you are, and want to be ever more so.

• Communitrepreneurs ... running both social and private enterprises with the intent of serving and building genuine and sustainable prosperity … and better communities … by their work and service; and supporting the global goals… locally, globally or?glocally. Indeed, you see them as opportunities to serve and make a living and life doing so.

• And, Emergents ... young and young in spirit… and all ages and generations … who are rising up to help lead constructive change in the private, public and community sectors locally and around the globe… for an ever better and emerging world…?for us all. We see and serve you.

Essentially and ultimately we serve Activants... Educators, Entrepreneurs and Emerging Leaders who are looking to make constructive change happen, on the ground, real-world, real-time.

You are world-embracing and noble-hearted. You seek to mobilize strong, united and character-driven teams to change the world or your corner of it. You want to lead, inspire, educate and unite in doing so.?

You see the challenges ahead as opportunities, or want to see them as such. And you want to work with like minded and hearted people to build a better world.

We help you do that. Personally, I see myself as the 900 pound (409 kilo, lol) Gorilla who may not change the world himself but will have the backs and hearts of those that will. That is why my LinkedIn profile states, "Leadership Speaker, Mentor, Coach for Entrepreneurs, Educators and Emerging Leaders building a better world at school, work and community. Business and HR Educator @ CNA. Showrunner, TUGtv. Forward, together, stronger."

For the Month of May

Nobility Matters

Our practice of Nobility matters, especially going forward. That said and though I and we offered this up last time, I feel it timely and necessary and even encouraging to offer this posthumously delivered piece from Sir Ken Robinson on A Future for Us All.

I also thought to share this, my fave TED Talk of all time from Abigail Washburn. In combination, they speak to my love of Education as an Educator, and my belief in music and Creativity for greater and needed connection. I will also offer this fun celebration of dance and Unity.... not to mention Jerusalema (guess I just did). For me, they all encourage me in the face of the needs of the world. As I head to The Spear, I humbly suggest and encourage that... at home, school, work, business and community... let’s go build a better world!

My Cartoon for May

Each month, I will be offering up a simple creation. Cartooning is a joy for me, not my profession. I simply love it.

I grew up with Star Trek and Planet of the Apes and Marvel and The Herculoids, among so many others. Igoo was the Rock Ape Herculoid, and I loved him. So, recently I created a boyfully young version to represent my childhood spirit that still lives here within; the early version of that 900 pound Gorilla thing, lol. Whatever your belief in your ability to draw, imagine your spirit creation. It matters, to live it.

Oh...

And, I would be so very much remiss on this Mother's Day to not Honor my Mom and all moms in this Realm and The Next Realm; the first educators of all humankind.
