Peace Is The New Luxury 'Item'

Well ladies, gentlemen, theybies & gentlethems,
Pinch punch first of the month, hey!
Yes, it's February and I have only just rocked up to deliver my first newsletter of the New Year. I do hope you can forgive me, though, I imagine if you followed my posts in December you will have seen that my daughter Ruby and I were flooded out of our flat 2 weeks before Christmas and had a fight on our hands to be rehomed.
Thanks to the kind support of my friends here on LinkedIn; The Press & Journal and braving going viral on TikTok (YIKES!!! Not for the faint hearted or thin skinned), we were put in temporary accomodation.
Despite challenges, it's been an ironically GREAT start to the year!
Not one to be a stranger to finding the positive in Universal upheavals, I decided to make the choice to focus less time and energy on fixing a life that I didn't even like and to instead, think about where I am headed.
It can be challenging, especially in the current social climate, to focus on the unseen over what is going on right now.
It can be challenging to not let ourselves feel constricted by limits that are in play, not only in the world at large, but the ones we impose on ourselves when life feels a bit yucky.
In looking at my goals, I realised that they have remained largely unchanged in the last 3 years, but since the pandemic, I stopped believing I could do much about it. Now, I forgive myself, as I've had plenty to do in that time; and the time most certainly wasn't wasted - I've studied A LOT.
As 2022 opened, I took action.
I sought out the support of a VA to help me avoid falling into procrastination and to help me with tasks when my neurodivergent brain gets burned out with the little mundane tasks and I invested in a group, a mastermind if you like, of other women growing businesses and scaling up.
Did I feel like I could afford to do these things?
No.
Could I afford not to?
Absolutely not!

Both these investments have changed the game for me. Though I have felt my Upper Limit screaming at points, I have kept moving because I have skin in the game; skin in the game that means I am no longer going the journey alone.
Sometimes, you need to look at what you're doing and let go of the idea that you need to do it all by yourself. There is nothing noble about burning yourself into the ground. As I am in the business of Executive Life Coaching and Bespoke Wellbeing Strategy, it is my very business to support my clients to lighten their loads and see how they can maximise their energy, life enjoyment and achieve wealth in all areas of their lives.
What sense would it make for me to do it all alone?
Peace is the new luxury.
Working less to earn more.
Both of these things look different to different people.
Consider these journal prompts -
What does your ideal of peace look like?
Where would you like to invest more time and energy in your life that you aren't managing to at the moment?
Where could you buy that time?
Something to think about.
Have a great week!
