Whatever 2024 brought for you, it was likely anything but forgettable.
The world is changing rapidly, and at times it feels overwhelming. The pace of politics has been tumultuous. Wars are being waged on multiple fronts, touching the lives of people we know. AI advances daily, delighting and confounding us in equal measure. The economy feels like a rollercoaster ride, with no certainty of when - or if - we can step off. Life is both wonderful and cruel, often in equal measure.
Amidst all this, we each go to work, striving in our own ways to make the world a little better through what we do.
At IECL, we celebrated 25 years since our founding. At our Leadership Summit in Sydney (and online) this September, we were heartened by the realisation that we are still known for and committed to the same life-affirming values we’ve always championed:
From the Summit, a clear new tagline emerged for IECL: Every leader needs a coach. Every leader needs to know how to coach.
We believe this captures it all - our vision, our mission, our raison d’être. It’s what gets us out of bed every morning. And if it resonates with you, you’re welcome to borrow it and tag us - it might just reflect what drives you too.
As we approach this festive season, a time of celebration across many traditions, we want to thank you for the part you play in our shared vision.
We also invite you to pause for a moment and reflect on how you might bring a little more peace into your world.
