Peace is calling

According to recent crime statistics, 392 children in South Africa were killed in just 90 days and another 394 survived attempted murder. A further 2048 children were victims of physical assault. This is one of hundreds of thousands of stats that speak to the current state of our nation, South Africa.??

The needs of children and families are important to us, especially at Childline. Our core mission is to prioritise these needs. One of the ways we are showing our commitment is through the Childline Peace is Calling campaign. We are inviting people to call Childline and open dialogue about where the anger, frustration, and violence come from.??

More than this we want to engage in action plans around how we can achieve and spread a sense and reality of peace in our communities. Primarily for the next generation. The future generation, who are the future of our country.??

This is a call for peace. To cultivate it. To spread it.??
