In my post last week, I wrote about the potential for AI to bridge the gap between PD and classroom practice. I got inspired to create this Bridge to Practice tool that does that using Yourwai. Here's how I approached the design of it:
My "Why of AI" - What is the challenge?
PD is not always contextualized to a specific subject or grade level. The implementation of new resources or skills into practice requires time that teachers may not have. Teachers may feel apprehensive about taking a risk trying something new without knowing if their implementation plan is good.
What does it look like if the challenge is being solved?
Teachers can see the new skill applied to their context and feel confident trying something new.
Using AI, in this case Yourwai, what could I create to generate a plan which would inspire confidence to try something new?
A tool that takes some information from the teacher to understand the context, then generates a lesson or plan to support implementation.

What inputs would I need to ensure the context is clear?
With this backwards planning in mind, I set out to create the tool using Yourwai's tool building interface. When a PD participant, or a teacher learning a new skill, enters the 3 pieces of information above, the tool generates a pedagogically aligned resource (lesson plan, activity, assessment).
It's open for you to try with a free Yourwai account. Let me know how it works for you! I'd love to hear feedback on what you use it for and how it might be improved. Thanks for tinkering and sharing.

10 个月This tool is very helpful, I have used a couple of times to assist in applying and planning around new concepts or learnings and it provides a clear and concise understanding of implementation methods and strategies.
