PCMG Staff Spotlight: Senior Business Development Executive
Next up in our Staff Spotlight series, we’re shining the light on Shona Ashford , one of the newest members of the PCMG Ltd team, who has worked in the Energy industry for over seven years.
Shona started her new role after moving from elsewhere within the Inspired PLC Group. She now works closely with other members of the business development team to help organisations understand who we are, what we do, and how we can help them save money through one of our Forensic Cost Audits.
Shona is one of the very first people that a client liaises with, right at the start of their journey working with us, so we thought we’d share some insights into her and the role.
What does your job entail?
As Senior Business Development Executive, my role is to find the correct stakeholders within potential clients who will benefit from our services and work in partnership with James Paine to get them to understand what we do, how we work and what is in it for them.
How long have you worked for PCMG?
I have worked for PCMG since September 2022 and moved across from Inspired where I was from May 2021.
What inspired you to pursue the career you have today? ??
I have worked within the Energy industry since 2016 and moved across from a customer service and training background in finance after finding myself in need of a new challenge.
What’s the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
You have to work for what you earn, whether it be respect, trust, loyalty, or money.
What do you like the most about your job??
领英推荐
The variety of people I get to speak to and the rewarding feeling of helping our potential clients understand how we can assist them with their recovery journey.
What has been your favourite project at PCMG?
I have only worked on one project so far which has been challenging at times but rewarding and I am looking forward to working on the projects that are in the pipeline.
What are some of the challenges you have faced in the industry?
There are many challenges I have faced within the industry, most being prior to this role. I would say within this role the main challenge is getting?potential clients to understand fully what we do and getting enough time to speak to people (to explain in detail).
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation so I could go anywhere in the world at any time, as I want to travel as much as possible to as many destinations as I can.
A big thank you to Shona for letting us go behind the scenes and find out more about her role here at PCMG!
We love to share the stories behind our team members, to give you an opportunity to get to know them a bit better and learn how they contribute to our team success.
Our people are at the heart of everything we do and we hope Shona will thrive and flourish for years to come, as well as the rest of our team, with our support and guidance to build a challenging yet rewarding career.
