PCM Delasco? DX for flue gas treatments

An Asian group specializing in the design and implementation of emission treatment systems called on PCM to provide a solution for their flue gas treatment service.

The client, whose aim is to preserve and renew available resources, is recovering energy from waste. The incineration of waste enables communities and industries to be supplied with electricity, heat, and process steam.

One of the steps in the waste repurposing process is the treatment of the flue gas. In order to avoid the smell and smoke reflux, the acids in the flue gases are neutralized in a reactor by injecting lime or sodium bicarbonate. Then activated carbon is added to absorb the dioxides and heavy metals. Finally the dust, salts and other solids are evacuated to a hazardous waste storage center.

PCM was asked to provide a solution for the conveying of this activated carbon and the wastewater. Three models of peristaltic pumps were selected to meet the customer's needs: PCM DX 25, PCM DX 35 and PCM DX 55.

The PCM DX pumps, equipped with Delasco? technology meet the customer's expectations in terms of dosing, among other things. Indeed, the dosing of milk of lime, used for flue gas treatment, requires precise dosing of viscous and abrasive fluids. With high suction power and no valves to clog, the PCM Delasco? DX series guarantees free fluid flow and long-term reliability.
