The PBR Method to Reduce Stress

The PBR Method to Reduce Stress

Life is full of challenges, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious or stuck in a negative mindset. We all face moments that test our patience, resilience, and ability to navigate the storm gracefully.

But what if there were practical tools and insightful perspectives that could help us rise above these challenges and transform our lives?

In a recent episode of the Unstoppable Grit podcast, I spoke with Michael OBrien (He/Him) , creator of the Pause Breathe Reflect Meditation and Gratitude app.

Imagine you're cycling, feeling the wind in your hair, and suddenly, a speeding SUV shatters your world. You escape death by a hair's breadth, and in that moment, everything changes.

Michael O'Brien teaches us the transformative power of mindfulness-based stress reduction. With solid clinical data to support its effectiveness, mindfulness offers many benefits for overall well-being.

Three profound insights that will help you reduce stress.

1?? Embrace mindfulness: Michael initially kept his meditation practice a secret, fearing it would be seen as a weakness. But he soon realized that it helped him become more focused, aware, and calm, leading to success in his career. Mindfulness can benefit us all.

2?? PBR technique: PBR, which stands for "pause, take a few breaths, and reflect," helped Michael bring thoughtfulness to his approach to life. By incorporating short moments of reflection throughout the day, he found greater resilience and clarity in navigating challenges.

3?? Mindful response: Michael encourages us to acknowledge and feel our emotions and consider how to channel them constructively instead of getting trapped in negative emotions or victim mentality. By practicing mindfulness, we can shift our perspective and respond more mindful and empowered.
