Standing on the cliffs overlooking the sparkling bay of Acapulco, I was struck by the innate curiosity that drives us all. As I watched divers gracefully plunge into the turquoise depths, I couldn't help but wonder: What compels them to explore the unknown? What drives their relentless pursuit of mastery? It’s this same spirit of inquiry that lies at the heart of effective learning, a spirit that Project-Based Learning (PBL) seeks to ignite within our classrooms.

However, the educational landscape is in constant flux, with the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) presenting both challenges and unprecedented opportunities. How can we, as educators, harness the power of AI to elevate PBL and cultivate a new era of learning that truly prepares students for the complexities of the future? This articles explores how "PBL Future Labs," a coaching pbl/ai integration service developed with Thom Markham, Ph.D. seeks to answer this very question. We're working in this space as well, combining our Rebel Project Literacy Curriculum with Inkwire.co for integrated literacy and PBL and use of an AI project builder for teachers to streamline and simplify the process. So many barriers to entry are being knocked down - it's exciting times!

Phillip Alcock love this breakdown man, I like your what if intro, looks familiar… Have you guys done anything merging math and science for middle schoolers yet? I’m working on fractions/decimals/percents with my math kids and tornadoes vs hurricanes for my science kids so I’ve been trying to find more ways to build in AI and PBL in a simple way for them.
