It pays off
New focus and biz name (hint: ??)

I’m back from summer break with exciting updates to share!
In my last post, I mentioned taking time away. I’m so happy I did… the payoffs have been immeasurable.
I spent the summer reflecting on everything I’ve created since launching Passive Profits 10 months ago, treating it all as experiments to build upon.
I also hosted market research interviews, gathering insights that refined my north star for 2024 and beyond.
THANK YOU to those who shared your stories, goals, and challenges. Your input has been invaluable!
Here’s what’s coming:
?? Doubling down on service providers
I started Passive Profits to help service-based business owners grow without endless (soul-sucking) prospecting and slimy sales tactics.
But over the past few months, I allowed my niche to bloat — trying to solve a range of varied problems for anyone looking to win by productizing.
When we try to serve everyone, we wind up serving no one.
Thanks to my experiments and research, I’m now re-committed to serving fellow service providers…
I’ve faced the same challenges you have. I understand your doubts and fears. I’ve dealt with the crippling burnout. After 14 years in business, I’ve experienced it all.
Fortunately, I’ve overcome the challenges to build a healthy, profitable business I’m proud of.
Now I’m helping others do the same.
→ Who I’ll be working with
You’re an entrepreneur scaling your service-based business. You’re making money from your people-powered services, but your growth is slow or stagnant.
To complicate things further, you spend a growing portion of your time marketing and selling in hopes of winning more/bigger clients. This pulls you further away from the client work you enjoy and pays the bills.
You need more effective and efficient ways to fill your pipeline.
Where prospective clients learn about your work, without you having to hold their hand throughout their buying journey.
Where you attract prospects who show up to sales calls 80% sold.
Solving these pipeline problems alone would be a massive boon to your business. But let’s take it a step further.

Now imagine that, in addition to filling your pipeline, your marketing and sales also drove new revenue streams. Passive revenue that provides you a reliable safety net for the inevitable dips every service business faces.
If it feels like I’m in your head, it’s because I’ve been there. And now I’m ready to help you grow, while winning back your time and freedom.
I’m offering 1:1 growth advisory.

? New name
When I branded Passive Profits, my goal was to distill the connection between productized offers and passive income.
While that’s still an exciting and viable outcome, the bigger growth lever for service businesses is the flywheel created that up-sells your premium services.
I’ve experienced it first-hand, creating productized offers that upsold $899k in consulting and coaching services.
However, passive income has a stigma I don’t want to be associated with.
So, the new name is… ?? ?? ??
Why Profit Ladder? That’s the story I’ll share in this Sunday’s newsletter.
