Payroll issues already legislated or in statutory play include:

1.????General industry pay increase flowing through the award and EBA systems.

2.????Completion of the requirements for STP2 in your payroll set up.

3.????Adherence to the legislated Better Off Overall (BOOT).

4.????Annuslised Salaried employees needing to keep Timekeeping records.

a.????And pay increased, or topped up to satisfy the BOOT analysis.

b.????Some award Outer Boundaries of OT and Penalty hours worked.

  • ????????Needs additional interpretation and payment when breached.

5.????The end of Enterprise Agreements (End of Life Agreements) when contract period ends.

a.????If the employer is not bargaining in good faith, the Fair Work Commission to intervene.

  • ·??????Reduced payroll errors and omissions payroll adjustments.

4.????Reduced non-compliance and resources to interpret payroll.

5.????Implementation of an efficient flow between Roster, Timekeeping and Timesheets.

6.????Improved employee communication flow to and from the employee’s device.

Increased regulatory and statutory obligations generally works against the operation of any free market, and contrary to what legislators actually intended. Unnecessary interference in the supply and demand dynamic of labour markets will not address the future challenges faced by most employers today.
